“Our mission is to love God and love people unconditionally. We want to help people to know Jesus Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. Through our faith and love for Christ, we want to create a community where people can come to experience God’s love and to learn how to love others in return.”
There is one God who eternally exists as three Persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and is the Sovereign Creator of all things. We believe in a sovereign God that created everything out of nothing for His own pleasure and purpose. (Genesis 1:1).
The Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless and perfect life; that He died on the cross for the sins of those who turn to Him in faith. Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead, never to die again, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes as High Priest and Advocate on behalf of all who believe in Him. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8).
The Holy Spirit baptizes all true believers into the one true Church, the body of Christ, indwells every believer eternally, bestows spiritual gifts upon them and empowers them for service and holy living. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, gifts, guides, and empowers the believer and the church (John 16:5-15; Ephesians 1:13; Acts 1:8).
We are all made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although humankind has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This sin separates us from God (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a & 59:1,2; Romans 3:23).
We believe that the inerrant Word of God has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness, including not only salvation from the penalty of sin but instruction in righteousness for present sanctification and service to the glory of God. God is the final authority as revealed in His perfect, trustworthy, and inspired Word, which unfolds His character and His purposes (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
The church is the one true body of Christ, with Christ as the Head, and functions to fulfill the mission of God, both to evangelize the world and disciple believers. We are called to gather locally in order to devote ourselves to worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, fellowship, the ordinances of baptism and communion, and service to the local body. (Ephesians 1:2-3;1 Corinthians 12:12-31).
We believe that Christian baptism is a public declaration of the believer’s salvation in Christ, identifying with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection symbolized by immersion in water. The Lord’s Supper is the commemoration by believers of Christ’s death until He comes and should be preceded by a careful self-examination (Acts 2:41; Romans 6:3-6; 1 Corinthians 11:20-29).
